Sherwood Announces Robust Returns from Feasibility Study on Minto Copper-Gold Project
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA-- - Sherwood Copper Corporation today announced the results of the feasibility study for its high-grade Minto copper-gold project in the Yukon. The project demonstrates robust economics, supporting Sherwood's prior decision to accelerate the project development schedule for a production start by mid-2007 and, in the accelerated case, early second quarter 2007.

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--It is "highly unlikely" that Canadian mining firm Meridian Gold ( MDG.NYS ) will develop its Esquel gold mine in Argentina after the Chubut province government voted for a three-year prohibition on mining, UBS Investment Research said in a research report published Monday.
